Over 150 people gathered for the $2300/ticket event whose Host Committee represented a "Who's Who" of Louisiana Republicans. Former Governors David Treen and Mike Foster attended the event which was sponsored by Republican National Committee Member Ross Little, Jr., longtime Thompson friend Al Lippman, Lafayette businessman Will Mills, Lake Charles businessman Andy Guinn, Baton Rouge attorney Murphy Foster and others.
